Grandmother Earth

“One touch of nature makes the whole world kin…” – William Shakespeare

I thank CBS Sunday Morning for giving us the lovely Nature videos.

I love standing barefoot on our Grandmother Earth. In a very short  time I feel more vitality and joy within me.

I also feel so much better when I’m taking a hot shower and just consciously let my worries and stress go down the drain. Water is one of the greatest gifts Mother Nature gives to us.

Often these days my intuition says to me, “Just let go.” Return to the Love that You are.

I Love Eckhart Tolle’s teachings on the “Power of Now. ” When  I’m stressed I put my palm down over my heart and breathe deeply. I ask myself, “What thoughts do I want to bring into this Now?” Within a short time I’m back to Peace.

Over the years I have asked myself, “Divine Love, what is my purpose?” I hear, “Remain calm; step into the Light.” After asking many times, over the years, I hear the same thing, so that is my purpose.

I give that thought to You, today. These short videos in Mother Nature can help You, if You don’t have time to  walk in Nature.

Just being receptive as you watch them, helps You imagine  that you are there, hearing the sounds and feeling the breeze on your cheeks.

I have always loved Canada Geese. They always seem to bring me luck. I love the videographer here,  capturing their eyes and feeling their nobility. Their good parenting is transmitted. Thank you.

In the lower video the colors and tranquillity of the Smoky Mountains, somewhere I have wanted to visit, are available to Us. Deer have been one of my animal totems for many years. Their awareness, gentleness and beauty are unmatched in the animal kingdom.

I’m very grateful for the infinite variety, beauty and Healing power of Mother Nature. We are blessed beyond measure living on this Sweet Earth.

I love what John Denver said of one reason he loved Nature so much: “I love Mother Nature so much because she listens to me.”

Nature Always brings me to Peace, and helps me to “Remain Calm, and Step into the light.”

Love, Nina

Mother Nature

Women’s History Month, March 1 – 31, 2023

Today I’m grateful for Grandmother Earth and to Mother Nature.

I’m grateful for my great grandmother, my grandmother, my mom, my sister and my daughters, all who have made and are making a beautiful history and herstory.

I’m grateful for my soul sisters and all the beautiful and courageous soul sisters who have gone before us.

Martha Graham is one of those impactful beautiful women I’m grateful to. I have read the quote below many times to inspire me to keep going in my work.

“There is a vitality, a life-force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action. And because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique.

And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and be lost.

It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions.

It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open…whether you choose to take an art class, keep a journal, record your dreams, dance your story, or live each day from your own creative source, above all else, keep the channel open!”

My good friend, Maxine Musgrave, looked a lot like Martha Graham. She was my Spiritual teacher and we had many years of fruitful discussions on how we could Love more. She always said right before we hung up or said goodbye: “Ok Honey. We will keep going!”

Sounds in Mother Nature, Songs, and Music

Sounds in Mother Nature, Songs, and Music are some of my favorite bridges of love light. We can be instantly uplifted by our favorite Music and Lyrics.

The video today contains one of my favorite songs and favorite artists, Matteo Bocelli.

Disney’s The Lion King movie came out in 1994.

It has special meaning for me as my daughter, Hana, was four years old, and my daughter, Roeya, gave her a Simba Halloween costume that was cherished and worn for fun until it was very outgrown. We all loved the movie, music and its theme of love and care for Nature and Family.

The Lion King went to Broadway in 1997 and has continued there for 21+ years with several wins for Best Musical, global productions and it has been seen by 100 million people.

I have included the lyrics to the song in the video here:

There’s a calm surrender
To the rush of day
When the heat of a rolling wind
Can be turned away
An enchanted moment
And it sees me through
It’s enough for this restless warrior
Just to be with you

And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It’s enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it’s laid to rest?
It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds

Believe the very best

There’s a time for everyone
If they only learn
That the twisting kaleidoscope
Moves us all in turn
There’s a rhyme and reason

To the wild outdoors
When the heart of this star-crossed voyager

Beats in time with yours
And can you feel the love tonight?
It is where we are
It’s enough for this wide-eyed wanderer
That we got this far
And can you feel the love tonight
How it’s laid to rest?
It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best
It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds
Believe the very best

I feel the lyrics are foreshadowing our coming heaven on Grandmother Earth.

Enjoy!

Grandmother Earth

Recently I was looking for an item on YouTube and Pando showed up in a video on the 10 most beautiful places in Nature. It held the spot of number “One.” I was delighted to know that it is close to us, in Utah, and that we have a mini-Pando right in our backyard.

When we first moved to Idaho, I was awakened by a sound I wasn’t familiar with. I looked out my window, and it was the “quaking aspens.” Their leaves catch the wind and create a very lovely “whooshing” sound.

The photos I took last week are of our neighborhood Aspens. The bright yellow leaves are short-lived, as just last night our first snow came, and now they are mostly on the ground.

Our neighborhood aspens, by Nina Wilkins

My friend told me, before I saw the Pando video, that aspens grow in groups and are connected underground by their roots.

“If you plant them in your yard you need two or three and to be aware they will send out underground sprouts to create more,” he said.

I love seeing our resident moose-infant sitting under ours as they love to eat the bark.

Aspens are a wonderful metaphor for awakening Earthlings, People—Humanity.

They thrive on water and hold water– Love– for each other. They are all connected, though each tree is unique.

WE ARE LIKE THAT.

Two of the qualities of the Aquarian Age, which we have entered, are Teamwork and Cooperation. Aspens use those qualities to grow and thrive. A landscaper for a home near us only planted one Aspen tree, and it looks forlorn and struggling. It definitely needs a friend.

Grandmother Earth loves us.

Mother Nature is teaching us all of the time through her Flora, Fauna and the Elemental kingdoms how to thrive and be prosperous without doing harm to the Earth or Each Other.

Many of us are hearing and Learning what she has to teach, and that number is growing exponentially daily. Thank you All.

I love this quote from the Persian poet, Hafiz, “You have all of the ingredients for a wonderful life, mix them, mix them.”

Our Oceans

Hello friends.

The video above, “Spotted Dolphins,” is your two minutes of Zen for the day. Just take a few deep breaths, relax and allow the peace and joy from the Ocean and Dolphins; definitely a bridge of love-light.

One breath of nature makes the whole world kin. – Shakespeare

When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world. – John Muir

More and more people are awakening and realizing we are in the Golden Age of Aquarius, where Universal Love is the primary quality permeating all life. Currently it may not look like that in our world, but little by little,  life is blossoming around and through Humanity, the Elemental Kingdoms, Animal Kingdoms and Plant kingdoms, especially Trees.

A few years ago I learned from Sananda that the great changes on our Grandmother Earth would be grass roots. From the bottom up. Not from Governments or the “top” but from individuals. Us.

Today we can help our Oceans and all life in the Divine Waters of this incredibly beautiful planet by very simple but powerful individual acts of awareness and kindness.

When you are on your walk today, pick up the small bits of trash, as that is what birds choose as food. Cigarette butts, bottle caps and shiny foil wrappers attract seagulls, pelicans and other birds.

September in California is beach clean up month. There are hundreds of sites that provide everything you will need to join the cleanup crew. It’s fun also. The statistics of wildlife that are killed each year due to trash are disheartening.

I take an extra poop bag when I’m walking Lola, my daughter’s dog, so I can easily pick up the small bits of trash. When we pick up one cigarette butt, a bird might be saved. I love that feeling.

The very big thing you can do is stop buying single-use plastics. Of course keep the plastics you have in your home that you are using over and over. Single-use plastics are choking our streams, rivers and oceans. Most of these are water or beverage containers. Only 5% of all plastics are recycled.

One of my favorite and effective not-for-profit organizations is Oceana. Founded by Ted Danson and Woody Harrelson over 20 years ago, Oceana has been making great strides in helping our Oceans.

These three small actions: trash pick up, “no more” single use plastic, and supporting Oceana, are small individual actions, but multiplied by millions will make great strides in solving our Ocean Pollution. Our clean oceans can feed one billion people.

Also, a message from our Golden Dolphins: don’t forget to rest and play. With all that needs to be done on our Mother Earth, play refreshes our spirit and renews us. Our inner child needs lots of rest and silly fun to be in the creative spirit that will solve the problems at hand. Teamwork and Cooperation are the order of the day.

Thank you for creating these bridges of love-light for You, your family and friends and our very amazing, mysterious and Divine home- planet Earth.

Divine Love

Women’s history, Mary Reynolds, part 2.

Einstein has taught us, “Logic will take you from A to B in a straight line, but imagination will take you everywhere.”

In the movie Dare to be Wild, one of the song lyrics playing in the background says, “Nothing grows in a straight line.” As we awaken to our own imagination and creativity, we open to a whole new part of our Divine Self. When our heart, imagination and intuition lead us, everything is new and filled with presence.

Steve Jobs told us, “You can only connect the dots in your life backwards.” I love that expression because many of the miracles I have experienced in my life have been in spite of myself. They have come unexpectedly and have reminded me of my Higher Self guidance to go places I would not have thought of. The most dramatic of these was when friends and I decided to attend “The Gathering of the Children of Light” in Mt. Shasta . This was on a whim. Our excitement was more about being together, camping at Crystal Lake and seeing the Mountain for the first time. To our surprise, we could have never guessed what that time would bring. That weekend, being with The Who’s Who of channeling, and 300 light workers (1986), changed my life for the better for ever. It put me very decidedly on my Higher Purpose Path.

I have learned over the years, channeling ascended masters and Divine Love, that one very important aspect of the Divine, and often overlooked in codified religious and spiritual teachings, is Divine Mystery.

When you think about it, we have to have Divine Mystery or we couldn’t have the infinity of expansion that we have. Life would be a closed system. This mystery allows for discovery, aliveness, growth and fun. Scientists are happy to work around the clock when they are on the verge of a new discovery. Putting their knowledge and wisdom in a certain field, along with their imagination and intuition, helps them put the puzzle pieces together for new discoveries.

When our heart and imagination leads our mind, our unique creativity is infinite.

In the video above, Mary teaches us that when nature is left alone, in most climates, forests will return. Forests then can be a home to a myriad of species including a kingdom that is now being explored for its many benefits for all species: The Fungarium.

My friend, Deborah, recently gave me this amazing book. We see there are as many branches below the tree’s surface as there are above. I feel that is what is true for us also– that as many branches or more are within us as in our outer world. “As above, so below.”

This is a time of great Renaissance for Humanity, Mother Nature, the Animal Kingdoms, the Plant Kingdoms, Fungariums and the Elemental Kingdoms. All are growing in new ways: expanding, evolving, blossoming.

You and I are in an incredibly momentous time. Heaven on Earth is here now. We just need to see it, feel it and awaken to it. It just requires our attention, intention and expressing the unique, Divine Mystery that we are.

Divine Love

March is Women’s History Month.

Currently we have 7.9 billion people living on our incredible Grandmother Earth. Thank you to all mothers and grandmothers and great grandmothers. Your stories are amazing and filled with love, or we wouldn’t be here.

I want to thank my mother, Charlotte, and my grandmother, Ruth.

Today, I would like to highlight Mary Reynolds’ work. She has been a positive force for Mother Nature and the Elemental Kingdoms for the last 25 years. She has been named in the top ten of landscape designers in the World.

You can learn of her story in the movie Dare to be Wild.

Her work has progressed over the years to where she is now being a Nature Guardian. She teaches people to grow their own food, nurture the landscape they already have and create an Ark where part of their land is untouched and left wild.

I learned of  this concept when I visited Findhorn, in Scotland, in 1982. A portion of their farm land is left wild, and people don’t even walk through that part of the garden. Over the last 30 years Findhorn has developed into a thriving Eco-Village. (See the Findhorn Garden book and To Hear the Angels Sing, by Dorothy MacLean.)

Mary is a way-shower for sure.

I have watched the movie several times and am inspired by her courage and for not giving up.

Her story is one of accomplishing a dream that appears to be impossible and against all odds.

It’s never to late to add a chapter to your own unique story that is magical, fun, creative, joyful and miraculous.

We definitely can create heaven on Earth, NOW.

Learn more about Future Forests here.

We are all bridges of love and light to the New Earth.

Grandmother Earth and Mother Nature are leading us.

All of the Elemental Kingdoms are cheering us on and teaching us by being themselves. Water shows us the true nature of Love, miraculous. Moving and giving life to whatever it touches: clear, whole, moving and constantly changing form. Air: breathing us to our Divine Nature and connection with all that is. Fire: sunshine, starlight, the perfect manifestation of love-light. A continuous and eternal symbol of a loving Father-Mother God. And Earth, our home. Earth, so beautiful that legend has it that visitors from many star systems come here to witness the wonder and limitless  beauty of her.

Sananda has told me many times that the birthing of the New Earth will be grass roots changes.  You and I in our thoughts, feelings, words and deeds are bringing Heaven to Earth.

Appreciation of this incredible home opens our creativity and inspires us to bring our own unique contribution to this incredible healing and awakening.

Today, I wanted to share the YouTube video above with you as these lovely women have inspired me to give more to our Mother Earth. I love my Irish Heritage. If you give yourself the time to just relax into the video in a receptive mode you may experience a new opening to the magic and mystery of working with the land. Being with the myriad of nature spirits and the infinite variety of weather, seasons, plants, animals and elements can give you a new lease on an abundant life that is all around you but often unseen.

This exploration can give you untold experiences of joy and wonder.

I read, but I can’t remember the reference, that a scientist calculated that if we planted one trillion trees, climate change would be averted. The natural balance of climate would return.

Your one tree planted and cared for is the beginning.

Mother Nature Is Now

The Aquarian Age quality of NOW, is easily brought to us by being in Mother Nature.

The YouTube videos for today contain the sounds, colors, beauty and creatures of our amazing Planet. They encourage and inspire us to go out and be in Nature so we can feel and experience the Elemental Kingdoms firsthand.

Now is not a measure of time. It is an awareness of Divine Presence that wells up within us when we are conscious and present.

When we are unconscious our mind often jumps to past or future thinking.

We create our future by BEING conscious and aware in this moment.  We drop into the “Deep  I,” as Eckhart Tolle calls our presence.

Today, if you wish, you can use these short videos to point to your own still, small voice. The sounds and beauty of nature remind us of our own connections to all that is. Our own amazing and miraculous planet that is our home enlivens our being.

In this state of reverence and appreciation we open to our creativity.

Joy easily comes to us. Love and creativity are our true nature.

With these qualities at hand and recognized, the scones we bake are heavenly and very nutritious. The sweater we knit has a warmth and glow within it. The letter we write to a friend has a healing and nurturing quality to it. We may just be inspired to write a book or paint a sunset.

Our lives become radiant and express LOVE.

Mother Nature

To continue my favorite summer reading books, I’ve included Sharing Nature with Children by Joseph Cornell. I would add to the title “Children of all ages.” Nature can bring out the child in us and is part of the reason I love Mother Nature so much.

This summer, or any time, I invite you to try some of the exercises in this book. One of my favorites I used teaching a group of First Graders is “feel the heart beat of a tree.” Another very popular one is “meeting a tree.”

Today, I’ve also included another short YouTube video of Muir Woods. It was filmed just last week, so you will receive the summer feeling. Also a ride across Golden Gate Bridge is included. The park is now currently open for visitors.

The Japanese term for a walk in Nature is “forest breathing.” Breathing in nature makes me feel part of this miraculous creation and part of all that is.

I’ve included here an excerpt about John Muir from Sharing Nature with Children:

“John Muir would sometimes become so engrossed in his wandering in the Sierras that a one-day outing would become a trek lasting several days or even weeks. And in his travels he had none of the ‘essential supplies’ like food, warm clothing or even sleeping blankets. He was sustained by his love of beauty and solitude. Listen to his description of the inspiration that nourished him in wild places:

‘Walk away quietly in any direction and taste the freedom of the mountaineer… Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature’s peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energies, while cares will drop off like Autumn leaves.'”

That’s how I feel when I have only been walking in the woods for a few minutes. Wonderful.

My dad told me a story of his experiences with his dad growing up. His dad would give them each two baked potatoes– one for each pocket– and they would walk in the forest for the entire day into the evening. He loved those times.

We are made out of Nature and are part of Nature, not separate. A friend once told me that if I was lonely to make friends with a tree. I have done that and have realized we can make friends with any part of nature and feel whole.

We, humanity, are growing in the understanding that our Love and stewardship of our dear Grandmother Earth cannot be delayed any longer.
